To Those Living With Chronic Illness: I See You
For the past ten years, I’ve quietly, intentionally changed the way I live — not because I wanted to chase perfection, but because I had to.
I eat clean, whole foods. I choose the highest quality ingredients I can find to avoid added toxins, antibiotics, and glyphosate. I take carefully selected supplements. I use natural products in my home and on my body. I filter my water.
All of this isn’t about being “extra” or extreme — it’s how I survive. It’s how I stay afloat in a body that doesn’t always cooperate.
Even with everything I do, I still experience flares. Chronic pain. Fatigue. Insomnia. Stiffness.
The truth is, I’ve been sick since I was around 8 or 9 years old. I honestly don’t remember life without these symptoms. My entire world has been shaped by managing chronic illness — planning, adapting, constantly listening to what my body needs next.
And while it can sometimes feel isolating, I know I’m not the only one.
If you live with chronic illness, I want you to know: I see you. I understand you.
You are not alone.
There’s often this unspoken pressure to just “live normally” — to eat whatever, do whatever, ignore your symptoms. But when you’re living with something chronic, you can’t. Your life has to look different, even if others don’t always understand why.
And it can be so hard when people question your choices, minimize your pain, or make you feel like you’re being dramatic or difficult. But you’re not. You’re doing what you need to do to take care of yourself — and that is incredibly brave.
If you need support — with food, supplements, routines, or just someone to help carry the weight for a little while — I’m here. I’ve walked this path too, and I bring not just knowledge, but lived experience and deep compassion.
You don’t have to do it all alone.
I’m here to walk beside you.
